Tim's advance birthday @ Wild Rocket at Mount Emily

its actually inside this hotel/chalet place called Hangout @ Mt Emily where Singapore Idols used to camp in, if you can recall ;) if you go there for dinner, u can also hangout at the bar opp Wild Rocket called Wild Oats, owned by the same owner.

its actually made famous cause of the owner/chef Willie Low, who used to be a lawyer and now a self-taught chef. have been reading so many write ups abt it on various magazines so decided to bring Tim there for his birthday treat!

Conclusion :

Food : Just fine. Satisfactory. Worth trying! afterall we only managed to taste 2 maincourse, is hard to tell whether its good or not just base on those 2! i'll be back for more ;)

Price : $93 for the meal for 2. expensive i would say, considering we didn't even ordered drinks and only went with 1starter, 2maincourses and 2desserts.

Location : you might be able to hop onto a cab frm DB station but when ur meal is done, getting to the station is one big prob! only if you're lucky to grab a cab who just happen to pass by that area.. if not you gotta walk all the way downhill. its fine when u have a company i guess ;)




they serve this spongy bread that taste a lil like cake with olive oil as dip.. its warm! so its niceee!
my favourite of all~ Softshell crab with blackpepper paste at the bottom.. really thick and yummy paste with the crispy outer shell of the crab and soft meat on the inside. dipping it into the paste, it taste as though u're eating the usual blackpepper crab from any seafood gallery.. woo! good one!

squid ink linguine - my first time trying and i think its good!
lava warm chocolate with vanilla ice cream~ u have a choice of vanilla ice cream or flambe bananas~ better den the typical brownies!

tiramisu.. they didnt use the usual shortbread to soak the alcohol, instead they made it more localise by using kueh buloh.

and yesterday it was Thai buffet at Tim's new place with his family& relatives together with Eunice & Yixian~ was a combined celebration of his birthday, new place house warming & his recruitment for army this coming thurs!

the airplane model i bought for him as a gift. well, im STILL not convinced its a good gift!cos its like so small, only he who collects them will knw how to appreciate it well. haha but he likes it so much he was looking at it a few times last night, so well, im sure its all worthwhile!

with that, i guess more or less i'll be slacking my day away today. pack my stuff and get ready for school tmr! well, its the last semester, though i dunno what to look forward to (more exams?ahhh!), i can only tell myself its the last lap!! seriously one week of hols is so pathetic! gotta plan my time next week to go on MC one of the days to pluck this irritating tooth i have for 10 over yrs~ friday will be a good choice yea? ;)

wasn't able to go for 2 planned trips (Perth & KL) cos of some probs of the tickets, hopefully will make it to Perth this coming june hols before i go for attachement~

so much thoughts but i guess i'll keep all to the last day of school till i write everything, that will make a good ending yea? =)

just hope that i'll do well enough to keep up my GPA or bring it up for the better! goooo gooo goooo!!! oh ya, not forgetting to make sure i learn my driving well for the judgement day on 24th July!!

its only 9am, i guess i can still go grab a few hours of sleep before lunch :p see all DTMers tmr!
